300,000 Lb. Crane Scale Tension Test

January 20th, 2006 I.C.S. delivered a 300,000LB Wireless Remote Display Tension Link Crane Scale to Charleston Rigging.

This scale was used for a sustained pull test by an Ocean Tug.

Representatives on site included I.C.S, Charleston Rigging, Port of Charleston, US Coast Guard, US Maritime Board, Charleston Shipyard and Manufactures Representatives from the Tug's Manufacturer.

Testing began at 9am and lasted until 2pm. The tug had to maintain a sustained pull of 225,000LB+ for a period of 5-10 minutes with rpms meeting the manufacturers specifications.

The highest sustain pull was 245,000LB.
